This was an incredible, action-packed beginning to Keri Arthur's Spook Squad trilogy. Keri adds a touch of science-fiction to her books that is never overwhelming and always manages to intensify the story itself; I am not a huge science-fiction fan, but I truly enjoy it in Keri's writing. Her characters were interesting and kept the book moving at a fast pace. Some questions were answered within this book, while others remain a mystery--and I'm definitely looking forward to Generation 18.

With no memory of her past or parents, Sam quickly becomes entwined in a world of conspiracy and clones as she searches for the answers that will lead her to the truth. Trusting the wrong person could get her killed, and the only person she trusted enough to get close was her partner and he betrayed her. Slowly she begins to change as her and Gabriel are thrown together in a fight to save the lives of others, and their own.
